Jason Galeener is the owner of Academic Technology Solutions. Jason began his training career in 1998 training law firms and businesses how to use various Microsoft programs. He then became a contract trainer and taught customized software for companies like Deloitte & Touche, Pac Bell (when they were still Pac Bell), and the LA County Department of Social Services. Jason then began teaching educators when he started working full time for Saddleback Valley Unified School District. Fortunately he was laid off from Saddleback in 2002 due to the state budget crisis. Thank you Gray Davis!
In the early summer of 2002, Jason Galeener started his own business called Academic Technology Solutions. While still teaching at businesses and law firms, Jason has found a niche in education. He teaches at various schools and school districts in Southern California. Jason's list of classes now encompasses over 30 different classes, not including various levels of the same class (i.e. Beginning Word - Advanced Word). He can teach "teachers based" lessons which are classes meant for making teachers lives easier through the use of technology, or "student based" lessons which teach teachers how to incorporate technology into their lesson plans. Both types of classes address California State Content Standards.
Jason Galeener is a consumate trainer. He is extremely easy going, patient, and makes people feel comfortable during class. He majored in Psychology in college and didn't know much about computers before he started teaching them, and this helps him to understand where his students are coming from.
Jason Galeener has presented at numerous conferences including: OC CUE Technology Festival, SGV CUE Tech Fair, SD CUE Tech Fair, VUE (Video Using Educators), NTTI (National Teacher Training Institue), OCTTI (Orange County Teacher Training Institute), and he will be presenting at the big CUE annual conference in March of 2007.
